Basically, I am not tying myself down to one client, I don't mind having them on my PC. In my opinion, I stopped caring which games where going to be on Steam because there are games that are only on Origin and Uplay that don't come on Steam, and it would be silly to pass them up. You don't have to deal with Steam and Uplay running at the same time. If you don't like dealing with Uplay, that's fine, but it will make it less frustrating if bought straight from Uplay. Yes, there is a general dislike for Uplay, but if you hate having both Steam and Uplay run at the same time, get it on just one, then you don't have to let the clients take up performance while playing. you launch the game through steam and it just fires up uplay.Īnd that right there is reason enough to just get it for Uplay. Uplay is used to verify your game once and then you launch the game through Steam alone.Įvery ubi game I have requires uplay all the time. As far as doubling up on DRMs, Lysdal is correct.
